10-hour fuels represent the moisture content of dead fuels with diameters of 0.6–2.5 cm (~0.25–1 inch). These fuels dry relatively quickly, responding to environmental changes over a 10-hour time lag. 10-hour fuel moisture is expressed as a percentage, where lower values indicate drier conditions.
