Time Control

The time control tool is related to certain layers and allows users to see how the layers change through time.

The layers that are related to the time control tool are marked with a https://icons-confluence.presago.net/icon/770d1c02-c1db-4913-b929-946346c0d9ac/svg?color=%23a2a2a2&shape=square-round&filled=true clock next to the layer title.

The time control layers include:

  • Heat Points - points more than 7 days

  • Heat Polygons - polygons more than 7 days

  • MODIS detection

  • National Weather Service Smoke Forecast

  • Surface Weather and Ocean Observations


To use the time control tool:

  1. Click Map Tools

  2. Click Time Control

  3. Toggle on one or more of the time control layers

  4. Identify the preferred time frame by using the calendar and time picker on the time control panel

  5. Use the https://icons-confluence.presago.net/icon/b02890cc-e61c-4491-9c92-def101bb04cf/svg?color=%23b20000&shape=circle&filled=true button to move through time dynamically
