The measurement tool allows users to measure distance or area on the map.
To measure distance or area, follow the steps outlined below:

Click the Measure tool in the application bar to activate the tool.

Select the Distance tab (or Area tab) in the Measure Tool pop up. The active tab will be highlighted in gold.

Left click on the map to draw a line. Double click to complete

Click the Copy link to copy result to the clipboard

Press Clear Measurement button to start again

Press X to dismiss tool
Units can be changed before or after the measurement feature has been drawn. The results can be copied to clipboard by clicking the copy button.
